This linen sack coat was patterned from a 1861 Tailoring
diagram with it's construction details taken from an original
coat found in a private collection. It is unlined and is
machined felled like the original with hand sewn button holes.
It has two exterior waist patch pockets and comes with shell
buttons. |

garments throughout the 19th Century, this sack coat was
patterned from a 1861 Tailoring diagram. It is fully lined and
quilted in the front panel. It has two exterior waist pockets,
an exterior breast pocket, and one interior breast pocket. The
coat comes with cloth covered buttons. The coat is cut from
wool and lined with cotton sateen. |
